Marina’s new Album “Electra Heart” Review!

Electra Heart is out today!

Whether you’ve been a Marina and The Diamonds fan since The Family Jewels, or if Electra Heart is your first taste of Marina, you’ll fall directly in love. Slightly more electric than her last sound (except for “Teen Idol”, which is feels like it should have been a part of “The Family Jewels”), it really pulls it together into her own sound.

Lyrically flawless. The album as a whole tells a tale, and each song is like a chapter that you can really identify with. I personally love her lyrics because Marina never plays the victim. She knows she can sometimes be a bitch, a heartbreaker and a primadonna. Which if you know me at all, you know I can identify with pretty well.

If you’re a player, you’ll love “Bubblegum Bitch,” “Homewrecker” and “How To Be A Heartbreaker.” (Which have inspired me to make a playlist that I’ll be putting out later this week.)

If you’re dealing with the “wonderful” world of  dating, take the power back after listening to “Lies” and “Power & Control.”

Some OBVIOUS hits to me are “Primadonna,” “How To Be A Heartbreaker” and “Radioactive.” I also LOVE “State of Dreaming.”
