The 100% Bacon Burger That Changed The Game
Last weekend I spent some time in Cali, and on the top of my to-do list was making a venture to Slater’s 50/50 to check out their new bacon burger I’ve been hearing so much about.
Now, the first question I keep getting from people is, “Isn’t that too much?” You would think that this 100% bacon burger would be too much, especially with those bacon toppings, but you’re wrong. If it was Burger King making this beast I would have probably tossed it after one bite like I nearly did with their Bacon Sundae, but Slater’s knows what they are doing. Their signature “50/50″ burger is half ground beef and half bacon, so they are old pros at the dream of the ground bacon. The dressing really helps cut the taste and manage bacon overload.
Definitely a staple for anyone who is a professional bacon connoisseur like myself, but hurry! The ‘mercian is this month’s special and is only available in July 2012.
