Saturday June 23rd, was the FIRST annual Bacon Bash in NYC by iAdventure.

Of course, yours truly was in attendance to see what tasty bacon treats this bash had to offer.

Each vendor had a variety of “sample items” that gave you a little taste, and then full sized dishes for purchase if you wanted to take it to the next level. Some of the highlights for me included Pork and Bacon Chili from Lucky 777 Chili Company, a delicious “For The Love of Bacon” cupcake from Prohibition Bakery (which was quite possibly my favorite.) and Chocolate Peanut Butter Bacon Cookie from Baconery.

Part of the experience, as most events in NYC, was also THE BAR. The bar at the bash was stocked with two kinds of “Bacon Beer” (not my favorite) and Bakon Vodka (Really good in Bloody Mary’s, but not much else) so you could drink your bacon too. Personally, I prefer my bacon crispy and not drinkable, but bet your ass I’ll try any sort of bacon drink you can throw at me.

With seven or so vendors, I thought at first that the bash was a little smaller than I had expected, BUT it is only the first year. So I CAN’T WAIT to see the size of next years bash.  Absolutely worth more than the $25 ticket.  Selling out all of the sessions throughout the day, I KNOW it will be out of control next year!

I really wanted to attend this event, and totally forgot about it. Just googled around to find out what it was about and found your blog. Approximately how many vendors were there? Oh, and just for fun and the love of bacon, I have collected lots of bacon stuff on my bacon pinterest board that you may enjoy looking at.
